What is an accumulator bet?
An accumulator in betting is one bet built from two or more selections on different events, each called a leg. The odds of the legs multiply into one total price, and the bet pays only when every leg is right. One wrong result loses the whole slip, whatever the other legs did. In accumulator betting, short prices build into a long one, and each extra leg is another result that has to go your way.
- Double, treble, fourfold: accumulators of 2, 3 and 4 legs, then fivefold and up.
- Acca or multiple: everyday short names for the same bet.
- Express: the name in the 1win.ng rules. A 1win accumulator is an Express, and the express bonus applies to that bet type.
- Parlay: the American term for the same bet.
How accumulator odds and payouts are calculated
Multiply the decimal odds of every leg, then multiply the total by your stake: that is the payout, stake included. Implied probability works the same way. Turn each price into a chance (1 ÷ odds), then multiply the chances together.
Three-leg example with made-up prices

The fair chance is lower than 16.7%. Every price in accumulator betting includes the bookmaker's margin, and margins stack: with an assumed 5% margin per leg, three legs return 86.4% of stakes in theory and five legs 78.4%. The odds explainer shows how to take the margin out of a price.
The 1win express bonus: 7% to 15% on the net return
1win.ng rules add a percentage to the net return of an Express with 5 or more events once every leg is right. Net return is the payout minus the stake, so the bonus is a share of neither the stake nor the full payout. The rate rises one point per event from 5 to 10 events, then jumps to 15% at 11.

Take the five-event row. At 7.59 the slip pays ₦7,590, a net return of ₦6,590. Seven percent of that is ₦461, so the Express pays ₦8,051, as if the odds were 8.05. At eleven legs the bonus reaches 15%, but the implied chance of all eleven coming in is 1.2%, roughly one slip in 86.

Is a fifth leg worth adding for the bonus?
Only if you would back that selection as a single. Made-up prices: four legs at total odds of 5.00, and a fifth leg at 1.20 added to reach 5 events.

The payout rises by ₦1,350 while the implied chance falls from one in five to one in six, because the 1.20 leg alone implies 83.3%. Give that leg an assumed 5% margin and the 7% bonus roughly cancels it on paper. The risk stays: a leg added only to reach five events is one you never rated on its own.
What to check in the 1win.ng rules before relying on the bonus

- Minimum odds per selection. Check whether a leg needs a minimum price to count toward the express bonus before you add short favourites.
- Void and postponed legs. See how a refunded leg changes the total odds and whether it still counts as one of your 5 events. Draw no bet and handicap legs can be refunded.
- Selections from one match. Results inside one match are linked, so check whether two of them can share an Express.
- Stake and odds limits. 1win.ng rules let the company limit the maximum bet and the odds on any event.

- Tax. 1win.ng rules set withholding tax at 5% of the net amount a bet returns for Nigerian residents and 15% for non-residents.

Accumulator checklist before you confirm
- Every leg is a selection you would back as a single.
- You counted the events: 5 for 7%, 11 for 15%.
- You worked out the payout with the bonus, and the implied chance of the full slip.
- You read how void legs are settled.
- The stake comes from a budget set in advance. Limits and self-exclusion are there if accumulator betting stops being a planned expense.
