Roulette tables differ in two details that set their cost: how many zero pockets the wheel has, and whether multipliers sit on top of the classic payouts.

How to play roulette: one spin from chip to payout
- Check the wheel and the table limitsOpen the game rules: one zero or two, and the minimum and maximum stake.
- Place chips while betting is openBack a single number or a group such as red or a dozen. Once betting closes, the layout takes no more chips.
- Watch the ball settle in one pocketA live dealer spins a real wheel on camera; at an RNG table, software picks the pocket.
- Check the payoutBets that cover that pocket are paid by the paytable. Every other chip is lost.
Inside bets and outside bets
Inside bets sit on the numbered grid: one number or a small cluster of neighbours. Outside bets cover large groups such as red or black, odd or even, dozens and columns. The fewer numbers a bet covers, the larger its payout and the less often it lands.
Bet choice does not change the price. On a single-zero wheel the house edge is 2.70% whether you back red or one number. What changes is how your balance moves: small returns often, or large returns rarely.
The zero is the house's share
Bets on red, black, odd, even, dozens or columns are not paid when the ball stops on zero. A double-zero wheel has two such pockets, so its edge is almost twice as high.
House edge in naira: what ₦10,000 of stakes returns
House edge is the share of all money staked that a game keeps on average. The table applies the published roulette house edge to ₦10,000 of total stakes.

The edge is not a fee on each spin. One evening can end well above or below your starting balance; only over many spins does the return per naira staked settle near these averages.

Can a betting system beat the wheel?
No. A system changes the size and order of your stakes, not the house edge, because each spin is independent of the last.
- Martingale, doubling after each loss: one even-money payout recovers the run, but a short losing streak pushes the next stake past the table maximum or your balance, and the losses stay.
- Hot and cold numbers: the history of past spins shows what happened, not what comes next. A number that has not appeared for a while is not due.
- Covering most of the layout: returns come more often but smaller, and the edge on the total staked does not move.
- Predictor apps and paid signals: no app can see where the ball will stop.
Bonuses and cashback at the tables

A budget checklist for each session
